Sjögren syndrome associated neuropathy
Recommended Indications in which IG can be used
Order Number: N12-SSN
Recommendations | IVIG may be considered in severe, functionally disabling peripheral neuropathies associated with Sjögren syndrome or when other immunosuppressive therapies are contraindicated or ineffective. |
Dose/Frequency of Administration | Induction: 1 to 2 g/kg adjusted body weight divided over 1 to 5 days (maximum 1 g/kg/day). Maintenance: 0.4 to 1 g/kg adjusted body weight divided over 1 to 5 days (maximum 1 g/kg/day), every 4 to 6 weeks. Once the patient’s condition has stabilized, consider titrating the dose and/or the treatment interval to the lowest dose necessary to maintain clinical effectiveness. |
