| Recommendations | IVIG is recommended as the first-line therapy in CIDP. Immunosuppressive therapy in combination with IVIG can be considered in refractory cases. All patients receiving IVIG for chronic treatment of CIDP should be followed by a neuromuscular specialist. |
| Dose/Frequency of Administration | Induction dose: 2 g/kg divided over 2 to 5 days. Maintenance dose: 1g/kg every 3 weeks. Aim for minimum dose to maintain optimal functional status. |
