The Canadian Obstetrical Pediatric Transfusion Network (COPTN) performed National survey in 2017/18 regarding perinatal practices. Results showed that testing practice across Canada was highly variable. A group of multidisciplinary national experts came together to provide consensus guidance on the optimal indications and timing for perinatal, postnatal and neonatal immunohematology testing for prevention and diagnosis of HDFN.
