Recommended Indications in which IG can be used

RecommendationsIG may be used in:
  • highly sensitized patients awaiting transplantation.
  • transplant recipients to prevent or treat graft rejection when conventional immunosuppressive therapy is contraindicated
    or
  • ABO incompatible transplant.
Dose/Frequency of Administration0.1 to 0.5 g/kg adjusted body weight, which may be given in divided doses up to a total maximum dose of 2 g/kg adjusted body weight in a 4-week period. 

Review Criteria.
Therapy should be reviewed, and cessation considered if an improvement has not been achieved after two consecutive treatment cycles.
