ID1-MPEP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-regular\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>Recommendations<\/strong><\/td><td>IG (IM or IV) is recommended for those with contraindications to active measles immunization, including:<br><ul><li>susceptible pregnant women; <\/li><li>infants aged &lt;6 months; and<\/li><li>immunocompromised patients*.<\/li><\/ul>Susceptible infants aged 6 to 12 months presenting more than 72 hours after measles exposure can also receive IG PEP.<br><br>*Consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.publichealthontario.ca\/-\/media\/Documents\/M\/24\/measles-post-exposure-prophylaxis-contacts.pdf?rev=3661a0cfd2444c0c9e078c040a79e9a5&amp;sc_lang=en&amp;hash=55781BD46171A37393350A1A28A1203A\">Public Health Ontario Measles: Post-exposure Prophylaxis for Contacts<\/a> for more guidance.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Dose\/Frequency of Administration<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Patients less than 30kg:<\/strong> Single dose of <strong>intramuscular<\/strong> IG 0.5 mL\/kg actual body weight. <br><br><strong>For patients weighing more than 30 kg or who cannot tolerate the intramuscular volume:<\/strong> IVIG should be provided at a single dose of 0.4 g\/kg adjusted body weight (use actual body weight in pregnancy).<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recommended Indications in which IG can be used<\/p>\n<p>Order Number: IMIG (contact local Transfusion Medicine Laboratory) for<br \/>\nIVIG &#8211;
